治療成人類風濕性關節炎、並減緩於X光所顯現之關節磨損與關節間隙狹窄等結構性損害。

| Dose |
Adults: Initial: 100 mg/day for 3 days, followed by 20 mg/day; dosage may be decreased to 10 mg/day in patients who have difficulty tolerating the 20 mg dose. Due to the long half-life of the active metabolite, plasma levels may require a prolonged period to decline after dosage reduction. Dosing Adjustment in Hepatic Toxicity: If ALT elevations >2 times but ?3 times ULN are noted, reduce dose to 10 mg/day, and monitor closely. If elevations persist or if elevations >3 times ULN are observed, discontinue leflunomide

| 禁忌症 |
1. 對Leflunomide 及藥物內所含之賦型劑過敏之患者(尤其是曾患有Stevens-Johnson 徵候群、毒性表皮壞死與多型性紅斑)禁用本品 。2. 肝功能不全之患者。3. 重度免疫系統功能缺乏之患者，如AIDS。4. 非由類風濕性關節炎或乾癬性關節炎引起的明顯骨髓功能不全或貧血、白血球減少症、嗜中性白血球減少症或血小板減少症之患者。5. 重度感染之患者。6. 中度至重度腎臟功能不全之患者(因臨床上使用本藥的經驗不足) 。7. 重度低蛋白血症之患者，如腎病症候群。8. 懷孕婦女，或Leflunomide 治療期間未使用有效避孕方法之可能懷孕的婦女，(只要活性代謝物之血漿濃度高於0.02mg/l 者，皆不可懷孕)開始用Leflunomide 治療之前應排除懷孕的可能。9. 服用Leflunomide治療的婦女不可以授乳。10.男性病患應注意本藥品有可能導致男性-引起的胎兒毒性，故男性病患服藥期間亦應使用有效避孕方法。11. 18 歲以下不建議使用(由於尚無療效性與安全性的資料)。
